Microsoft Project Foundation Course is a two-day course, designed for people who wish to become knowledgeable in project management tool Microsoft Project Professional, as well as gaining valuable insights into the benefits of this tool.


This course is instructed by highly experienced lecturers from Projectum, awarded twice for Microsoft World Partner prestigiously in 2015 and 2017, nominated in the award finalist in 2016. Our highly competent instructors ensure the quality and organization of this course, and they will guide you through your learning journey and make sure a fantastic learning outcome when the course is completed. In this two-day course, you will get a hands-on introduction for most of the features offered by the Microsoft Project program. All our instructors are certified by Microsoft with extensive experiences within project management, they are also consultants who specialized in this topic. This Microsoft Project Foundation Course takes a “hands-on” approach to learning – which means that as a student, you will work with specific assignments from real-life cases, and will get the opportunity to test the tools during the course. In short, we believe learning through application.


Microsoft Project Foundation gives you and your colleagues insight into the "fast track" experience, leaving the classroom with competencies that will support your development as a project manager.


The content of the course includes:

  • Introduction to Microsoft Project
  • Creating new projects
  • Define the project and the project calendars
  • Creation of tasks - manual and automatic tasks, estimation of duration and work, and milestones
  • Structure the project using WBS, main tasks and addictions
  • Data Terms and Deadlines
  • Views and Tables
  • Filters and Groups
  • Creating resources i.e, labour resources, materials and cost resources
  • Understand the resources calendars and the interaction with the project calendars
  • Work equation for calculating work / effort-based planning
  • Allocation of resources on tasks
  • See the new agile methods in Microsoft Project and Project Kanban
  • Handle resource conflicts - with or without automatic smoothing
  • Creation of original plans and possibly budget
  • Progress report
  • Create reports, such as default reporting with views, Visual Reports, Mappings, and the new report module



This is a two-day offline course taught in Danish.
