In June we presented Team Planner. An add-on for Microsoft Project Online, designed with a user-friendly UI to make resource management more effective. Today, we are proud to announce that Envision recently agreed to implement Team Planner into their current PPM solution.
Managing your portfolio of projects and people is not always a straightforward task. Especially not, when you’re navigating within a matrix organization. This is exactly what Envision Energy has experienced in their organization. Envision Energy is a top tier global provider for smart energy technologies and services, including sales of smart turbines, smart energy management software and technological services. Envision is the 2nd largest wind turbine company in China and among the top 10 wind turbine companies in the world.
With such a big organization planning and coordination is a key element towards success. Thus, Envision has been looking for a way to make their resource management even more effective. Already using Office 365 and Project Online, Team Planner was the perfect solution for Envision:
Microsoft Project Online has been implemented for the Global Windfarm CoE, which is the Center of Excellence for global projects. There will be approx. 125 Project Online users, all of which will be using the Team Planner add-on – distributed among both Project Managers and Line Managers. More than 500 resources are to be managed in the solution:
Team Planner has been specifically designed to make it easier for Project and Team Managers to get a clear overview of their resource requests and allocations. A very intuitive UI with drag and drop functionality, embedded KPI and heat-map reporting and integration to Power BI, assist in providing the necessary and accurate capacity overview.
Envision and Projectum are in the initial phase of implementing Team Planner and delivering the necessary training for the user
It is expected that Envision will roll out Team Planner to all implicated within 2017.
